Women's Ministry is an important part of any church, and Church of the Open Door is no different.
We have several opportunities for women to be involved.
March 2026 update - Our Tuesday morning Bible study has resumed with a video study on the book of Acts.
We also have a new Moms study which meets on Tuesday mornings as well.

We also have a new Moms study which meets on Tuesday mornings as well.
Each quarter, we have a Sister2Sister event where there is teaching, worship, fellowship, and food.
From the Sister2Sister ministry, we have formed several Titus2 groups. These small groups meet monthly in homes throughout the city to discuss a chapter from the study book for the year.
Prayer and fellowship time are common in the monthly meetings.
The women also enjoy gathering to celebrate major life events with one another through bridal and baby showers.

Tour of Tables was a new ladies event this January 2026. Eight ladies hosted a table and decorated them beautifully.
We were served a delicious lunch by some of the church men, and then we enjoyed a time of encouragement from our guest speaker, Esther Davis.

Women also gathering on Wednesday nights to work on Scripture Memorization.
In the 2024/2025 year, they worked through a different scripture passage each month:
- August: John 15:1-17
- September: Romans 12
- Oct/Nov: Psalm 42 and choice of Isaiah 53:1-6, Colossians 1:15-23 or James 1:1-16
- February: Psalm 119:1-8
- March: 1 Peter 1:13-25
- April: 1 John 4:7-18
What a great variety of scripture our women have committed to memory!
