What to expect
Do I need to dress up?
On Sundays at Church of the Open Door, you will see our congregation in a variety of attire ranging from suits and ties to jeans and polo shirts. We encourage and welcome you to come as you are.
When do classes start?
Sunday morning events begin at 9:00 a.m. with Adult Bible Fellowships which are an opportunity for adults to participate in the study of the Bible in a smaller group setting. Sunday School classes and nursery are offered for children of all ages during this hour.
How do I meet others?
At 10:15, classes are dismissed and you are invited to the Fellowship Hall for coffee, juice, light snacks, and conversation with the congregation.
Please hang around after the service and one of our Elders or Deacons should introduce himself (if one hasn't already!) and take a second to get to know you and welcome you to our church.

What is the service like?
The Worship Service begins at 10:45 a.m. with a time of singing. The music is a blend of traditional and contemporary and words are projected on a screen at the front of the church.
Following worship, we enjoy expository Bible preaching which encourages and challenges us to grow spiritually. The service ends with music and a prayer.
It is our desire that you find our worship and teaching honoring to both God and His Word. If you are new to the area and/or seeking a new church home—please know you are welcome here!

What to expect for children care
Your First Visit
Look for an Usher around the main foyer area, they can lead you to the children's wing and answer any questions you have. We’ll meet your family, check your child into our database system, and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. We’ll ask for your family’s contact information and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.
How Check-in Works
After your first visit, you may check in your child at the nursery. After finding your family’s check-in tag, take your claim tag and clip your child's claim number to their bag. After the service, you’ll return to your child’s classroom and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
