What to Expect

On Sundays at Church of the Open Door, you will see our congregation in a variety of attire ranging from suits and ties to jeans and polo shirts.  We encourage and welcome you to come as you are.

Sunday morning events begin at 9:00 a.m. with Adult Bible Fellowships which are an opportunity for adults to participate in the study of the Bible in a smaller group setting. Sunday School classes and nursery are offered for children of all ages during this hour.

At 10:15, classes are dismissed and you are invited to the Fellowship Hall for coffee, juice and light snacks.

The Worship Service begins at 10:45 a.m. with a time of singing. The music is a blend of traditional and contemporary and words are projected on a screen at the front of the church.

After the music, we take a moment to collect the offering. As a visitor, please do not feel obliged to give. The offering is a chance for our members to give back to the church. Following the offering, we enjoy expository Bible preaching which encourages and challenges us to grow spiritually. The service ends with music and a prayer.

It is our desire that you find our worship and teaching honoring to both God and His Word. If you are new to the area and/or seeking a new church home—please know you are welcome here!
